No money, or membership, is required until you place your first order.

Rental Club Membership:

Rental Membership is limited to the United States only.
Members are required to sign a standard rental contract regarding the care and return of DVD's/videos - which will be included in your first order.
To become a member, Register Here to use the website and place 2-movies in the shopping cart for your first order. You will then be charged a one-time membership fee of: $29.99. This fee includes your first order of 2 DVD's/videos and an optional monthly email-newsletter, which discusses movie information and trivia. After this, DVD's/videos are $3, $5, $8 or $10 each, plus shipping and handling - postage costs for shipping both ways on all rentals is paid for by the member (click here for information on shipping and handling rates).

California residents will have sales tax included on all sales and rentals.

Purchase of films: You do not need to be a member to purchase films. CVMC will ship world-wide!
To purchase a film, just add the item to our shopping cart. Creating a Free Enrollment is optional, but desirable when re-ordering in the future. An enrollment allows you to conveniently log-in for one-click checkout. Question? Please email Michael at sales@cvmc.net.

Renting:

New members can rent no more or less than 2 DVD's/videos for their first order; certain titles are excluded for new members.
After that you may rent up to 8 DVD's/videos per order. Minimum rental is 2 DVD's or videos.

Return Time:

You may keep the DVD's/videos for 5 days, plus return time back to CVMC. The total amount of time that the movies may be out of the office is 10-11 days before late fees are assessed.
Late fees are $4 per DVD/video per day and are assessed via Internet tracking; please inform CVMC if you plan to keep the films for more than the allowed time period.

Preferred Member Status:

New members are slowly integrated into Preferred Member status. How quickly you move to Preferred status will depend on your rental history - all members that become "Preferred" have an excellent track record of returning DVD / videos. If your account is in good standing, you will start moving up to phase #1, #2, then Preferred Member after about 3 rentals. Preferred member benefits include: first selection on new films, more movie titles to select from, 7-day rental when ordering 7 or more movies, FREE postage when ordering 8 DVD's, Our monthly PMV Newsletter.

Payment:

Payment must be in the form of Visa, Mastercard, Discover or American Express. If you do not have a credit card, you can pay in advance via a cashier's check or money order. CVMC will accept personal checks, but please allow an extra 5 days for them to clear. All checks must be made out to CVMC. A $100 Security Deposit is required for all non-credit card members; the Security Deposit is totally refundable if you ever decide to cease your membership with CVMC as long as all DVD's/videos have been returned in good condition. If you are a student without a credit card or simply a bit "strapped for cash", you can take advantage of CVMC's Student Membership Plan. Here, only a $50 Security Deposit is required, but you can only rent two DVD's/videos at a time, one of which can be of Preferred Member status following your first order. If you are not interested in renting Preferred Member Videos, no security deposit is required.

Ordering:

To place a rental order, you must have an account with CVMC. You can set up your account via this web site, phone or fax. If you wish to call, the number is +1 (626) 921-4481; if you wish to fax, please read and follow the detailed FAX instructions. The CVMC fax number is: +1 (818) 248-3144. Once your account has been set up, you can place orders via this web site, phone, fax or e-mail. Regardless of the route, please have several alternative titles available, for even if the film is marked as "In," someone may have ordered it earlier that same day.

Cut-Off Time for Orders & Office Hours:

If you want your order to be shipped the next business day, you must contact CVMC with the titles you wish to rent before 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time via this web site, e-mail, fax or telephone. Orders taken after 10:00 AM are shipped the following business day. Office hours are as follows: Mon.-Thu. 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Fri. 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; Sat. 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.; Sun. closed

Refunds:

The membership fee is non-refundable. Security DVD/Video deposits are fully refundable as long as all DVD's/videos have been returned in good condition. If there is some sort of problem with the DVD or video, CVMC will gladly replace or exchange it for you. There are no refunds simply because you did not like a film.

Sell or Trade:

CVMC is always willing to consider buying films you might have. CVMC is mostly interested in rare films and will only consider those within its genre. If you have any such titles you wish to depart with, please submit our online trade form. CVMC often trades rentals for your films too! Click here to see a list of films CVMC is searching for.
